Water in the Garden Shut Off

Hello Gardeners,

I heard back from the grounds department who said they have shut off the water to look at one of the spigots that was leaking last year. Right now the plumbers are waiting for the area around the spigot to dry out so they can dig to find the leak.

I realize this is a less than ideal situation, and will keep you updated as I hear more information.

Just a quick note gardeners,

I am aware that for some reason the water in the garden has been shut off. I have contacted Dwight and the grounds department to find out what is going on, and will repost on the blog as soon as I have more information.

Hopefully this will be resolved shortly.

"Starting your own garden" workshop at the library

"Starting Your Own Organic Garden" --a workshop in how to get started and the fun in raising your own vegetables taught by Judith Robinson in the community room at the Princeton Public Library. Thursday, April 19th, 7pm.

I'm pretty sure it's free! This may be a great opportunity for new gardeners to get some insight into organic gardening.

Garden Kick-Off Doubles as Seed Swap

Hello Gardeners,

At the recommendation of a fellow gardener, we will also be doing a seed swap on Saturday. If you have any extra seeds that you won't be using this season feel free to bring them to share with other gardeners and possibly swap.

We will also have some handouts for you first time New Jersey gardeners as well as seasoned gardeners.

Butler Garden Kick-Off Party

Hello Gardeners,

We will be hosting our annual garden kick off party in the Butler Community room on Saturday, March 17th from 12pm-2pm. This is a good opportunity to come and meet your garden coordinators and fellow gardeners. We will have snacks and refreshments and be there to answer any questions you may have about gardening in the Butler Organic Community Garden.

Garden Plot Payments Due February 7th

Hello Gardeners,

I just want to remind all of you that the payments for your garden plot need to be dropped off at 220B Halsey Street by the evening of February 7th or your plot may be made available to those on the waiting list. Make sure all checks are made out the "The Butler Housing Committee".
